Why Hire a Certified Track Builder?

The ASBA Certified Tennis Court Builder Program was designed to improve the practice of tennis court construction. Builders earning ASBA certification must pass a comprehensive exam on field construction and maintenance. Additionally, ASBA builders must perform tasks according to set standards of experience and display a high level of proficiency in tennis court construction.

Builders currently working on a sports construction project or those who recently completed one can apply for ASBA certification. Eligibility criteria for the first certification include:

  • Three years or more of experience in sports construction when applying
  • 100 eligibility points in tasks depending on the specific certification the builder seeks, such as project administration, sub-base and base work, layout, marking and surfacing, and site duties
  • Three references with personal knowledge of the builders’ work experience and eligibility

Candidates do not need to be members of the ASBA to apply for the Certified Builder Program, but members will receive a discount on their certification fee as stated in the financial underwriting of the program.
